Kaitlyn Richardson Nobiss (she/her) is originally from Northern B.C. and spent part of her childhood in Manitoba. At eighteen, she moved to Iqaluit, Nunavut, where she worked in multiple community‑focused roles, including frontline work and with the Government of Nunavut.

Her six years in the Qikiqtaaluk region shaped her commitment to mental health advocacy and youth empowerment. Kaitlyn draws deeply from her own lived experience as a young indigenous woman navigating adulthood in Nunavut, and she carries those teachings into every space she works in.

After completing her Digital Arts and Media Diploma at Selkirk College in Nelson, B.C., Kaitlyn relocated to the Yukon, where she has now lived for a year. She brings creativity, resourcefulness, and authenticity to her role at BYTE – Empowering Youth, blending her graphic design background with the workshop development and facilitation she leads as a Community Outreach Coordinator.

Kaitlyn is passionate about creating supportive, culturally grounded spaces for youth and is dedicated to uplifting northern young people through art, expression, and community connection.
