Sydney (she/they) grew up in Whitehorse as a person of settler descent on the traditional territory of the Kwanlin Dün and Ta’an Kwatchan First Nations. After working for BYTE last year, they have come back to join the TYC team as the Youth Engagement Coordinator for the summer. Catch them organizing community gatherings and implementation teams, note-taking, doodling on their whiteboard, and relationship-building with folks young and old! Sydney has been involved with youth boards and advisories as both a young person and leader for 5 years and is dedicated to uplifting youth voices and improving the lives of young people in the Yukon on their terms.
