Meet the 2024 BYTE Advisory Board!
The BYTE Advisory Board (BAB) is a group of 10 Yukon youth who meet monthly to advise BYTE staff about BYTE workshops and events.
Keona
Keona (she/her) is 17 years old and is a member of the Champagne and Aishihik First Nations and part of the wolf clan. She is from Haines Junction but has been attending school in Whitehorse since 2020. Keona plans to study engineering at university in the fall. For the past three years, she has been involved in local theatre as an actor, assistant director and assistant stage manager through the Guild Hall, YTYP and the M.A.D. program. Keona is passionate about giving youth a voice and has been hosting Kinda Sorta on CJUC 92.5 FM with friends since April of 2023. Being part of the BYTE advisory board is a great opportunity to share her perspective and to learn about issues that matter to Yukon youth.
