About Us:
The Territorial Youth Collective (TYC) is a youth-driven initiative that supports, empowers, and amplifies northern youth voices through advocacy, community action, and systems change. Through partnerships and collaboration with communities and organizations across the Yukon, the Collective facilitates the process of the Territorial Youth Strategy. In partnership with Tamarack Institute and the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy (YESS), we are launching a multi-year project that will build innovative, youth-led approaches to improve employment and skills development outcomes for youth aged 15–30 across the territory.
Position Overview:
This is an exciting and diverse role that allows for a lot of creativity and networking opportunities. The Collective Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and delivering the YESS Initiative on behalf of the Territorial Youth Collective. This includes facilitating youth-led engagement, building cross-sector partnerships, supporting employer collaboration, and guiding the development and implementation of innovative, community-based employment and skills strategies. The Collective Project Coordinator will ensure the initiative aligns with the Collective Impact framework and meets both local priorities and national reporting standards.
Please note: While we welcome all applications, given the context in which BYTE and TYC works, preference will be given to youth applicants from Northern and/or Indigenous communities.
Key Responsibilities:
● Facilitate youth engagement across Yukon communities and support youth leadership.
● Co-design youth-driven innovation projects improving employment and skills outcomes.
● Build partnerships with employers, Indigenous organizations, and governments.
● Support employers in adopting youth-friendly practices.
● Contribute to office operations, events, and community activities.
Qualifications:
● 2+ years experience in facilitation, engagement, or leadership development.
● Knowledge of the Territorial Youth Strategy and Yukon First Nations/Northern Indigenous communities.
● Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team; willingness to travel.
● Post-secondary education in a relevant field is an asset.
● Standard First Aid & CPR required; Mental Health First Aid and ASIST an asset.
● Valid driver’s license and vulnerable sector check required.

Additional Information:
This role requires some weekend work, overtime, and regular travel throughout Yukon and Northern BC/NWT. Preference will be given to youth applicants from Northern and/or Indigenous communities.
