Another one bites the dust! As always, the 7th Annual Canada Day Skate Comp was one for the books, and we got to team up in partnership with our pals at Skate for Life Alliance.
The weather was looking a little stormy for a second there, but Mama Nature decided to hang on until after the competition to rain. We had a great turn out, with some familiar faces and some new ones – most notably, a 2 year old future pro-skater who showed us her stuff. Of course, a huge shoutout to the awesome participants who came out in full force, as well as Church of Zombie and Cymatic for the tunes!
The Canada Day Skate Comp would not have been possible without the generous support of the Yukon Government and the City of Whitehorse. A big thank you also goes to Mt. Sima, The Franchise Footwear and Apparel, Sandor’s, Sports Experts Yukon, T-Square Architecture Ltd, Whitehorse Beverages, Diamond Supply Co and RDS for donating all the dope prizes! See you next year!
