BYTE – Empowering Youth welcomes a new Community Outreach Coordinator into its folds. Pavlina Sudrich assumed the role starting at the beginning of April. She joins the team as a permanent, full time employee.
BYTE’s Community Outreach Coordinators make connections with communities across the Yukon. They coordinate and act as lead facilitators for BYTE workshops.
Sudrich was born and raised in the Yukon. She grew up in Whitehorse and began to work as a youth correspondant for the CBC. In 2004 she was awarded the Top 20 Under 20 award for her work educating Yukoners on the issues facing northern youth. For the past 10 years Sudrich has been working around Canada as a high performance cross country ski coach.
Sudrich says the thought of bringing her experience to BYTE gives her goosebumps.
“My passion and strength lies in working directly with youth. I believe the education and empowerment of our young people is one of the most important things a community can invest in.â€
Sudrich will join BYTE’s other Community Outreach Coordinator, Angela Code.
