If you don’t have enough reasons to come to this year’s Battle of the Bands at the Future Routes Music Festival, here’s one you won’t want to pass up: Humans are coming.
Humans are a Vancouver indie-electronic duo made up of musicians Robbie Slade and Peter Ricq. They’re currently touring around Canada and the United States with their newest album, Noontide, and they’ll be stopping in Whitehorse on September 18 to headline for festival. It’s the only northern stop on their tour, and with their catchy dance beats and reputation for being one of Canada’s most energetic electronic acts, you’ll want to be there.
Tickets will be available at the door. This year’s Future Routes Music Festival is co-hosted by BYTE, Yukon College, and the Yukon College Student. It’ll kick off the school year, provide a venue for BYTE’s annual Battle of the Bands, and be a fun all-ages live music event for the community.
We’re accepting submissions to Battle of the Bands until August 31. Email your three best songs and a band bio to bands@yukonyouth.com or drop off recordings at the BYTE office.
