After nearly 6 years as Executive Director of B.Y.T.E., Rachel Parks stepped down in June 2012 to move to Toronto. In her place,we’d like to introduce our new ED, Chris Rider.
Originally from Australia, Chris moved to Canada in 2011 and only arrived in Whitehorse last week! He has previously worked in operations and project management within the not-for-profit environment at Sawa World in Vancouver and Greenpeace International in the Netherlands. Chris is excited to have joined B.Y.T.E and is looking forward to many exciting years ahead!
Following the Annual General Meeting last week, B.Y.T.E. is also excited to welcome our new Board of Directors for 2012-13. Returning for another year are Joel Macht (co-chair), Andrea Bailey (co-chair) and Michael Svoboda.
Our new members are Jessica Thiessen, Lindsay Raftis, Dana Kistemaker, Stephanie Dixon and Courtney Quinn.
